On Friday, April 28th, the White Rain Productions team once again had the joy of helping The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation put on its annual Birthday Dinner. The event highlighted a celebration of 25 amazing years of its Tenderloin After School Program (TASP).

TNDC provides affordable housing and services for low-income people in the Tenderloin District and throughout San Francisco to promote equitable access to opportunity and resources. TASP specifically provides a safe place for children of Tenderloin residents to go to after school and during school breaks. Many consider it a home away from home. TASP is just one of TNDC’s many thriving programs that helps deserving San Franciscans.

This years Master of Ceremonies was Cheryl Jennings of ABC7/KGO7 who eloquently guided the evening. The Brother Kelly Cullen Service Award was presented to Rita Shimmin, Executive Director of GLIDE. Nidhi Patel, a former TASP participant, spoke about her experience with TASP. Synchronicity Strings entertained guests with their beautiful sounds and DJ King Most led an exciting dance party at the end of the night.

The evenings menu was constructed by Thomas Rimple, Chef de Cuisine and Mel Fogata, Executive Sous Chef. Specialty Birthday Cakes were created by Jean Francois Houdré, Executive Pastry Chef.

Special thank you to The Westin St. Francis, The Balloon Lady, and TNDC volunteers and staff.
