The San Francisco Aeronautical Society held its Annual Fall Gala, California Flying—Catch Our Style, at SFO’s Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum on Thursday, November 5, 2015. A sold out event with over 180 people in attendance, guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail reception, flavorsome dinner, and dynamic program featuring Honorary Captain John Hill and Mistress of Ceremonies Renel Brooks-Moon. This year’s program also featured Academy Award-winner Tony Bill—actor, producer, director (Flyboys), and lifetime pilot—as the recipient of the 2015 Achievement in Aviation Award due to his personal and professional involvement in aviation, as well as his outstanding commitment to preserving its history.
