Accounting never looked so good! From November 13th through the 16th, the software company BlackLine, Inc. took over the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles for their annual conference InTheBlack (ITB) to discuss the ins and outs of modern accounting technology and its future.
Gearing up for the conference with a volunteer day, BlackLine employees, customers, and partners were all able to give back to the community before getting down to business on the Saturday before the conference began. Beginning on Sunday the 13th, the conference included keynote sessions, specialized workshops and demonstrations, a customer success lab, as well as networking events spread over three levels and eight rooms.
Social events were the highlight of the evenings starting with the Welcome Reception at historic Clifton’s Cafeteria, which included an international buffet, specialty cocktails, and whimsical entertainment all the while exploring a new theme on each of the cafeteria’s four floors. Monday and Tuesday of that week were jam packed with excitement, including among many activities a presentation from best-selling author Michael Lewis, a performance from well-known comedian Howie Mandel at “The Close” party, the Sponsor Hub Happy Hour, corporate “Dine-Arounds”, and VIP suites at the Staples Center for the Lakers vs. Nets game.
Special thanks to Blueprint Studios for transforming the Westin Bonaventure into a BlackLine themed venue with their beautiful décor and branding. We would also like to thank 4 Wall Entertainment, Bonaventure Brewing Company, Clifton’s Cafeteria, DJ King Most, Flash Mob America, Jaz Sawyer Quartet, PSAV, Saving Spot Rescue, Shepard Exposition Services, Submerge Silent Disco, Tencue, Validar, and the Westin Bonaventure.
