Once again, White Rain Productions had the honor of providing the entertainment for the World Affairs Council’s 2017 Global Philanthropy Forum at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington D.C.. The Global Philanthropy Forum is a peer-learning network of philanthropists and social investors committed to advancing international causes.The three day conference discussed the ways philanthropy and civil society can help rebuild social capital and restore societal cohesion, including by modeling collaborative problem solving across disciplines, sectors, cultures—and even ideologies.In addition to key notes speakers from the top of the philanthropy field, panel discussions, small group workshops, and daily receptions were also held. WRP coordinated performances by Butterscotch, the world’s first female Beatbox Champion, Colombian Singer-Songwriter Naty Hernandez, Nomad Dancers, and special guest appearance by none other than Sesame Street’s Big Bird! The conference ended in jubilant dance provided by Flash Mob America.
