In November 2016, White Rain Productions had the distinct pleasure of producing the pre- and post-show receptions for the U.S. premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s most recent show, “LUZIA–A Waking Dream of Mexico”. Nearly 2,500 guests enjoyed the vibrant decor and entertainment that echoed this delightful show’s immersion into a wondrous, imagery Mexico.
Before the show, guests were treated to hosted beverages and hors d’oeuvres while being entertained by lively traditional dance and music provided by Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno and La Familia Pena-Govea. Colorful characters from Catalyst Arts greeted guests while distributing Mexican paper flowers. After the performance, Eztli Chicahua Traditional Aztec Dancers and glow-in-the dark stilt walkers led guests with dancing and drumming to AT&T Ballpark, where the festivities continued on the Club Level with the high-energy Latin-infused electro-pop of Nortec Collective’s Bostitch + Fussible and Salsamania’s dynamic dance performances. Day of the Dead and Lucha Libre characters mingled and danced with guests as spiral and hoop artists thrilled the crowds with their skills.
